FMC FoodTech, the food industry’s leading technology and solutions provider, announced today it will partner with CCS-Inc., a provider of enterprise software and industrial computer hardware solutions tailored for the food industry, to feature productivity solutions next week at FA&M. The two companies will combine expertise to present unique software solutions, LINK Process Analysis, LINK Line Control, and Paperless Enterprise at the Sanibel Harbour Resort’s Solutions Theater on Monday, April 10th at 4:00 p.m. ET.
“Today’s processors are expected to diversify their product offerings, maintain product quality and assure food safety while at the same time reducing costs and increasing productivity,” said Gavin Clements, LINK product line manager for FMC FoodTech. “We’re aware of the pressures put on processors today and have partnered with CCS to discuss the solutions available to help meet these demands.”
At the seminar, FMC FoodTech will highlight key elements of their LINK software, LINK Process Analysis and LINK Line Control, which is designed to deliver substantial improvements in product uniformity, traceability and food safety while also increasing long-term productivity across the entire processing line. Both solutions are deployed in FMC FoodTech’s Food Processing Technology Center (FPTC) in Sandusky, Ohio, where processors can test their product in real-life conditions and observe the features and benefits of LINK firsthand.
LINK Process Analysis
LINK Process Analysis is a secure and robust solution which allows processors to capture relevant process and product data in electronic format and store it in one central location. It offers real-time, relational and historical reporting so processors can monitor and react immediately to process and product conditions, mine, analyze and find hidden data relationships, and benchmark production results from different time periods or batches.
Recently, FMC FoodTech worked with a leading international frozen food processor who sought an optimization tool for its flat-meat product line. LINK Process Analysis helped them to increase yield, decrease weight variation, optimize the use of their equipment and increase productivity.
“LINK Process Analysis puts processors in total control of the product and the process,” said Clements. “It uses statistical process analysis to determine cause-effect relationships so they understand how changes to the process can optimize the final product.”
LINK Line Control
LINK Line Control offers unified control over an entire process line. The software features line-speed synchronization for manual speed adjustment of each conveyor belt across the line, progressive stop functionality should faults interrupt a section of the belt and process line recipe management which greatly reduces set-up times and improves product consistency between batches. In addition, LINK Line Control offers central data collection, which allows process data from the entire line, real-time and historic, to be readily available at one central location.
CCS will be highlighting Paperless Enterprise at the FA&M seminar. A paperless quality solution, Paperless Enterprise enables companies to comply with regulatory bodies and reduce costs by improving production efficiency, increasing worker productivity and reducing waste. The data analysis tool is designed to provide real-time document management, HACCP/SOP management, and statistical process control throughout all levels of an organization.
“Processors today need a QA solution that is simple, accurate and efficient,” said Brent Wallen, sales manager, food solutions, CCS-Inc. “Paperless Enterprise will reduce the time spent collecting data and resolving erroneous information, allowing processors to focus on what’s most important—their customers.”
